Job summary

Stine Seed Company in Adel, IA is seeking a Corn Research Associate to support the development of new corn varieties through seed prep and field activities. You will work with a team, perform tasks from seed preparation to data collection, and may travel overnight to off-site locations during peak seasons.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or higher in agronomy and be a self-directed, reliable team member with good communication and computer skills. Some overtime and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• An AS or BS in agronomy is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in seed preparation, sorting, cleaning, labeling for plots and nurseries.
• Conduct field activities and data collection for yield trials.
• Learn operation and maintenance of corn plot planter and combines.
• Possess willingness to travel overnight to off-site locations.
• Work weekends during peak seasons and manage multiple tasks safely.
