Job summary

Utz Quality Foods, LLC is seeking a Corn Chip Utility Associate for the Weekend Day Shift at our Hanover, PA facility. You will support corn chip production, move ingredients, perform quality checks, and maintain accurate records to ensure product safety and quality.

In this role, you will operate and learn equipment including tow motors and hand jacks, participate in sanitation, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to keep the production floor safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• Ability to work the Weekend Day Shift: Fri–Sun, 5:30 AM–5:30 PM.
• Able to lift 50–80 lbs regularly.
• Basic computer skills to complete production records.
• Willingness to learn multiple production processes and assist operators.
• Commitment to GMPs and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the corn mixing station operation and movement of flour in the production area.
• Safely operate a tow motor and battery-powered hand jack.
• Train to provide backup support for the sheeter and fryer operators as needed.
• Perform quality checks on baked chips to ensure they meet standards.
• Maintain accurate production records manually and electronically.
• Use Redzone Software for recording production and food safety requirements.
• Participate in sanitation activities and equipment cleaning with approved chemicals.
• Follow GMPs and safety rules at all times.
• Routinely bend, lift, and carry 50–80 lbs.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team with diverse groups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Corn Chip Utility Associate position on the Weekend Day Shift at our Kindig Lane Hanover, PA facility. This position works Friday to Sunday, 5:30AM–5:30PM.

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting the production of our delicious corn chips. From assisting with mixing and movement of ingredients to performing quality checks and keeping accurate records, your work will directly contribute to delivering the great-tasting snacks our consumers love. You’ll also play a key role in keeping the production floor safe, clean, and running smoothly—all while being part of a supportive team that values collaboration and accountability.

• Work proactively as part of a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete production records, both manually and electronically.
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a tow motor and battery-operated hand jack.
• Willingness to learn multiple production processes and provide backup support to equipment operators.
• Ability to follow written instructions, safety procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Willingness to perform equipment cleaning and sanitation duties using approved cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Strong attention to detail when performing quality checks and monitoring product standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
