Job summary

Vandor Corporation is seeking a Corewinder Operator to set up and operate the spiral tube winder line, winding and sealing layers of paper around a mandrel with glue, then cutting to length to create cores. You will adjust mandrels, controls, and blades, monitor quality, and maintain safety standards.

The role requires forklift certification, a high school diploma, and experience with machine operation in manufacturing. Shifts are 7pm to 5:30am, four days per week.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating machines in a manufacturing setting.
• Must be trained and certified to operate a forklift.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Exhibits ability to use handheld measuring devices including the use of a micrometer accurately.

Responsibilities

• Tends winding machine between stages, as part of crew.
• Sets up/operates equipment, adjusts mandrels and blades.
• Maintains glue pots and saw; tests tolerances and dimensions.
• Inspects for defects and records pinholes or issues.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and follows policies.
