This position involves operating core removal vessels with potassium hydroxide, performing acid removal and rinse operations, and maintaining tanks and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ months of manufacturing or chemical processing experience preferred.
• Clear English communication (spoken/written) required.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety rules.
• Basic math skills (add/sub/multiply/divide).
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Able to work with industrial chemicals and processing systems.
• Troubleshoot routine process or equipment issues.
• Team-oriented with strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate core removal and chemical processing equipment.
• Load and unload baskets, castings, and components.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, cycle times, and fluid levels.
• Operate core removal vessels using KOH and other approved processes.
• Perform acid removal and rinse operations.
• Wash and rinse parts with hot pressurized water.
• Expose grain structure for inspection when required.
• Drain, clean, and maintain tanks, vessels, and work areas.
• Complete required production documentation and process records.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operate core removal and chemical processing equipment used to remove ceramic core material from castings.
• Load and unload baskets, castings, and components for processing.
• Monitor process conditions such as temperature, pressure, cycle time, and fluid levels.
• Operate multiple core removal vessels using potassium hydroxide (KOH) and other approved processes.
• Perform acid removal and rinse operations according to established procedures.
• Wash and rinse parts using hot pressurized water to remove residual processing materials.
• Expose grain structure for inspection and evaluation as required.
• Drain, clean, and maintain tanks, vessels, and work areas.
• Complete required production documentation and process records.
• Follow all safety procedures, chemical handling requirements, and PPE standards.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ months of manufacturing, chemical processing, production, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding work instructions.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety requirements, and standard work instructions.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to safely work with industrial chemicals, equipment, and processing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot routine process or equipment issues.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a strong safety mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in chemical processing, foundry, casting, aerospace manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
• Experience operating process equipment, tanks, vessels, or automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience handling hazardous materials or working in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Forklift or material handling experience.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to heat, chemicals, moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and industrial processes.
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required.
• Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all chemical safety procedures.
