Job summary

LKQ Corp. is seeking a warehouse associate to receive, store, and pull parts within a large distribution network. You will move inventory using manual and powered equipment, keep work areas clean, and follow established procedures to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

The role requires basic numeracy, simple record keeping, and ability to follow directions in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position with opportunities across our TX facilities.

Qualifications

Up to 1 year of work related experience.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Willingness to operate warehouse equipment and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Receive and store inbound product to designated locations.
Pick parts and deliver to staging area or delivery truck.
Operate manual or powered equipment to move product.
Sort items onto racks, shelves, or bins per sequence.
Maintain orderly and clean work areas.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Assume other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Pick/pull correct product from the appropriate locations and delivering to staging area/delivery truck.
Operate a manual/powered equipment to transport product in and about warehouse.
Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.
Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas.
Comply with established company policies and procedures.
Assumes other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Up to 1 year of work related experience.

Preferred Requirements

High School Diploma/GED.
Warehouse or similar work environment, prior PIT (forklift, order picker, etc.) experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic computer skills.
Basic messages communicated orally.
May write brief messages and keep simple records.
Problems encountered are simple, repetitive, and generally solved by clear directions and procedures.
Follows standard procedures with no decision making involved.
Uses guidance/guidelines provide by supervisor/manager.
Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.

Essential Physical Demands / Work Environment

Occasionally required to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit for extended periods of time.
Employee may be exposed to hazardous situations, conditions, and equipment.
Must be able to work in cramped spaces or underneath vehicles that may require getting into awkward positions.
May regularly wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
May be exposed to extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
