The City of Hobbs seeks a Lifeguard Supervisor responsible for overseeing daily pool operations. This position includes managing aquatic staff, ensuring facility maintenance, and conducting training. Responsible for managing daily pool operations including, but not limited to, supervises all aquatic staff, maintains the facility, plans and conducts in-service training for staff as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Creates positive relationships with the public, co-workers and supervisors and treats all persons with appropriate respect. Complies with work schedule and fulfills job responsibility commitments. Completes job assignments in a conscientious and thorough manner. Adheres to Laws, Department and Division policies and procedures and supports organization objectives. Listens with comprehension and communicates accurately, clearly, and concisely to facilitate an efficient operation. Complies with safety rules and appropriately maintains and uses equipment and material. Maintains confidentiality of matters relating to the City at all times. Demonstrates self-initiative in performing routine tasks as in accordance with standard operating procedures and standard operating guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and chain of command.
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or high school equivalency (HSE) preferred with one (1) year experience as a lifeguard required. Supervisory experience preferred.

The employee is frequently required to walk, lightly jog, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud in parts of the facility.
