Job summary

Kettering Health Franklin laboratory seeks an experienced supervisor to plan, organize, and coordinate the section's work and staff. You will ensure accreditation standards, quality control, inventory, and budgetary control while overseeing safety and regulatory compliance.

The role involves supervising staff, training, performance evaluations, and coordinating student rotations, with responsibility for maintaining test menus and equipment upkeep. A MT/MLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Clinical Laboratory, Medical Technology, Chemical, or Biological Science (or equivalent).
• 3 years of Medical Technology experience.
• MT or MLS (ASCP) Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates up-to-date job knowledge and adherence to department policies.
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner and coordinates section activities.
• Assigns schedules and reviews staff work to ensure tests meet standards and deadlines.
• Maintains qualified, competent staff following policies.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Maintains records in accordance with accreditation requirements.
• Sets up and monitors internal and external quality control for instruments and test correcting problems.
