The successful candidate will manage VMware environments, patching, and capacity planning while expanding Datadog coverage and dashboards to improve observability and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years in systems or infra engineering.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter.
• Strong Windows and/or Linux administration.
• Experience with storage, backup, and recovery.
• Familiar with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Datadog monitoring, dashboards, alerts.
• Ability to lead infra projects and coordinate teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot VMware environments (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter).
• Support Windows and Linux servers, storage, backup platforms.
• Maintain infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Create monitors, dashboards, alerts in Datadog.
• Perform patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, and remediation.
• Lead selected infrastructure projects from requirements to handoff.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and cloud teams.
• Automate tasks with scripting and IaC tools.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
