Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in Clifton, NJ, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician to join our Family Medicine Residency Program as Core Faculty. This role blends 60% core faculty/administrative duties with 40% clinical practice in a collaborative, academic setting.

The physician will mentor residents, participate in curriculum development, scholarly activity, and quality improvement, while maintaining an active outpatient practice and contributing to resident education.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Eligible for an unrestricted New Jersey medical license.
• Commitment to graduate medical education and resident development.
• Strong clinical, communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary academic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Precept Family Medicine residents during scheduled patient care sessions.
• Provide medical supervision during resident precepting sessions.
• Participate in morning report, conferences, faculty meetings, and other residency educational activities.
• Serve as a resident advisor and advocate through mentoring and ongoing professional support.
• Participate in scholarly activity, research, and other academic initiatives.
• Maintain an active outpatient Family Medicine practice.
• Support the growth and development of the Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with departmental leadership guidelines.
