Bon Secours Mercy Health in Greenville, SC seeks a Core Faculty member to help launch a brand new Family Medicine Residency Program. The role focuses on teaching, curriculum development, and clinical leadership as the program is built from the ground up for 2027–2028 cohorts.

Qualifications

• Must possess ABFM or AOBFP board certification in Family Medicine.

Our market in Greenville, SC is the fastest growing market in the system, and we have now started GME. In 2025, we welcomed our first class of Internal Medicine Residents. In 2028, we plan to welcome our first class of Family Medicine Residents. This is a unique opportunity to help us start a brand new Family Medicine Residency Program and join the core faculty of our second residency program for our system in Greenville. Though we won't have residents on site until 2028, we are hiring core faculty to join us in 2027 to build volume in the outpatient residency clinic.

Qualified candidates:

• Must possess current certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP)
• must currently be in clinical practice
• should have educational and/or administrative experience in a clinical setting
• must be willing to combine administrative and didactic (teaching) responsibilities
• must have strong administrative and team building skills
• must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• should have an interest in pursuing scholarly activity; past publications are a plus but not mandatory
