Job summary

UnityTec in Mobile, AL seeks a Business and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Support Specialist to provide acquisition and contract administration support from pre-award through closeout, manage cost analyses, and develop performance trackers in an active shipyard setting.

You will handle invoices, security documentation, and COR/ACOR correspondence while ensuring compliance with FAR and government policies in a dynamic defense contracting environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field with a minimum of 24 business credits; in lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
• A minimum of four years of experience supporting COR in a shipbuilding environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of shipbuilding processes, techniques, and procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Ability to produce COR reports, briefs, and presentations using contractor-provided data.
• Knowledge of DCMA and DCAA standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in acquisition planning and pre-award support, including IGCEs, RFP/RFQ, and market research.
• Conduct cost and price analyses for proposals and contract actions; draft negotiation memorandums.
• Draft and manage post-award administration and closeout documentation (CPARS entries, discrepancy reports, cure letters).
• Develop milestones, trackers, and reports for COR/ACOR actions (ECPs, TARs, RFPs, IGCEs).
• Review CAC applications and ensure six-month revalidations for security compliance.
