Job summary

Tombras in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Copywriter Intern to contribute to the conceptual and written development of various projects. You'll work with the Creative team to execute copy and write for client deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Eligible candidates are seniors or recent grads in media/marketing/advertising with a strong portfolio and knowledge of social platforms. The internship runs 9/23/26–11/20/26, up to 25 hours per week and pays $18/hour.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be currently enrolled as a Senior in a Bachelor’s program or a recent graduate in Media, Marketing, Advertising, Portfolio School, or similar field (a degree is not required).
• Engaging portfolio that showcases strong copywriting ability.
• Proficiency in Google Workplace.
• Team player in a flexible, dynamic, and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for social media and popular culture trends.
• Ability to proofread content for grammatical accuracy and maintain style consistency across pieces.
• Working knowledge of Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, and other emerging social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Creative team to contribute to the conceptual and written development of various projects
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, Art Directors, and Copywriters to execute copy
• Write copy for both internal presentations and client deliverables
• Research trends and assist in concepting how a variety of brands could potentially participate, copy included
• Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned
