JOB SUMMARY

Lindblad Expeditions, the world's preeminent expedition travel company, is seeking an experienced and talented copywriter to join our New York-based creative team. Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, the Product Copywriter is responsible for writing compelling copy and content about the exceptional trips and experiences the company offers, as well as the best-in-class ships that serve as the base for our guests in the world's most remote locations. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an exciting and evolving company that has set industry standards for more than 50 years.

The successful candidate will be responsible for writing about the 30 destinations our trips visit and the over 100 itineraries we offer. While there is a great deal of existing language about many of the places we travel to and the trips we offer, an effort is underway to refine the language in order to convey the unique characteristics of Lindblad Expeditions, differentiate the company from its competitors, and better reflect the affluence and sophistication of our audience.

Copy and content are needed on a continuous basis for our website, email campaigns, standalone articles, and brochures (a selection of which are printed). The environment is fast-paced and often reactive. You are adaptable, diligent, solutions-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure. You also collaborate well and are considerate and collegial.

You are a skilled writer who values elegance, clarity, and precision. You strive to avoid clichés, have a good ear for how words sound together, and are a quick study who pays attention to detail and accuracy. You understand how your work supports larger company goals, from converting prospects to booked guests to increasing audience engagement and brand awareness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with editorial and product marketing teams to create original content about itineraries, destinations, ships, and special offers.
  • Build strong relationships with relevant teams.
  • Develop familiarity with itineraries and destinations, keeping up with changes in real time.
  • Produce copy that meets marketing goals, stays on brand, and elevates our positioning.
  • Write copy for website, brochures, emails, and other marketing materials.
  • Participate in editorial planning and help generate new content ideas.
  • Name new itineraries as needed.
  • Align copy with company priorities and content plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4-6 years of marketing writing experience, preferably in travel, hospitality, or luxury sectors.
  • Confident in grammar and editing.
  • Experience with SEO and CMS platforms.
  • Effective communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
