Job Description

The Copywriter 3 is dedicated member of a fully embedded client team supporting a leading brand in the payments industry. This role is responsible for creating digital-first, marketing-focused content tailored to client audiences of all sizes, across industries. Writing assignments include emails, social media, web page snippets, flyers, posters, and light copyediting or proofreading of longform materials such as white papers and eBooks. The role requires close collaboration with client stakeholders, including the client’s creative services copy director, and other creative partners, including writers, designers, and strategists to ensure all content aligns with brand voice and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging content for a range of digital and print marketing materials, including emails, web snippets, social posts, flyers, and posters
  • Adapt tone and messaging to reflect the brand’s voice and resonate with multiple audiences, including small businesses and large enterprises
  • Review and edit longform materials developed by other vendors, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency
  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, project managers, designers, and other creative professionals to execute projects from concept through completion
  • Participate in content planning discussions and help shape messaging strategy as needed
  • Check the work of others for grammar, punctuation, style consistency, and overall quality control
  • Manage multiple assignments across varying timelines, often concurrently, and deliver accurate work on deadline
  • Stay informed about the payments industry, client products and services, and evolving audience needs
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant writing experience, preferably in a marketing or creative services environment. Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or technology sectors is a strong plus.

Skills And Certifications

  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality marketing copy for digital channels
  • Editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project collaboration tools (e.g. Wrike or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organization and time management, with ability to prioritize tasks and adjust to changing demands
  • Comfort receiving and incorporating feedback from multiple stakeholders
  • Familiarity with creative collaboration in an agency or in-house marketing team environment
  • Must be able to provide portfolio examples of completed work if requested

Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $63,300 - $97,400/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
