Responsibilities

• Write and proof email, SMS and push copy for campaigns, meeting character limits, compliance rules and brand voice.

• Support campaign copy across platforms, adapting messaging to each channel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging speaks to each customer persona.
• Champion AI and other technologies to speed up and scale writing workflows.

Overview:

The Digital Copywriter will write and proof email, SMS and push copy for campaigns and automated flows that engage customers and drive revenue. This role plays a key part in both our digital messaging and modern search strategies, using SEO and AEO best practices to help SCHEELS videos show up across YouTube, Google and AI answer engines. The ideal candidate pairs advanced writing and proofing skills with a drive to use AI to build smarter workflows. This associate will partner with teams across the SCHEELS campus and support other copy needs as requested.

Responsibilities:

• Write and proof email, SMS and push copy (subject lines, preheaders, body copy, CTAs and short-form messages) for campaigns, meeting character limits, compliance rules and the SCHEELS brand voice
• Write, audit and refresh copy for automated messaging (e.g. welcome, browse and cart abandonment, post-purchase) to maximize open and click-through rates and increase revenue
• Support additional digital teams with campaign copy as requested, adapting messaging to each platform’s format and audience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the SCHEELS campus to ensure messaging authentically speaks to each customer persona
• Champion new technology adoption across the digital copy team by identifying where AI and other technologies speed up, improve, and scale writing workflows across channels
• Build and maintain a repeatable workflow that turns one campaign brief into channel-ready copy for email, SMS, push, social and YouTube
• Build proofing checkpoints into AI workflows so every draft is fact-checked, edited and approved before content is published
• Research and implement SEO and AEO trends, keywords and customer questions to grow SCHEELS’ presence in Google search AI platforms
• Write YouTube descriptions using SEO and AEO best practices so SCHEELS videos show up more often across YouTube, Google and AI answer engines

Education & Experience:
