Responsibilities
  • Perform patient workups, obtain medical histories, and conduct specialized diagnostic tests
  • Travel to satellite locations
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms
  • Maintain a clean environment and stock rooms and equipment
  • Support general clinic functions
  • Perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume practice
  • Engage in continuous learning to assist physicians and potentially scribe
Education, Training, and Experience
  • 1-2 years of office experience in a medical setting
  • Effective communication skills with patients and staff
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Ability to read and interpret medical charts
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Proactive attitude and ability to perform in a high-volume environment
  • Basic understanding of eye anatomy, medical terminology, ocular pathology, and eye diseases

Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) and adhere to HIPAA policies.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Prolonged walking, sitting, bending, and stretching; good manual dexterity; normal hearing and eyesight; ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Work occurs in a typical office environment with necessary physical activities.
