Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in Phillipsburg, NJ is seeking a Copper Splicer to connect and maintain copper networks for telecom services. You’ll splice and repair connections for reliable phone and internet and contribute to safety and quality on every job.

You’ll need a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a DOT physical, and perform vehicle maintenance and documentation. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months of copper splicing experience or related telecommunications experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and tracking material usage.
• Other duties as assigned
