Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC is seeking a Copper Splicer to connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services. You will splice and repair connections, work both aerial and underground, and document daily production data.

Ideal candidates have 6 months of copper splicing or 1 year in telecom, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. A comprehensive benefits package is offered with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam to obtain a valid medical card.
• Six months of copper splicing experience or one year in telecommunications.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including mapping and material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.
