Job description

Copilot Engineer
$60/hr - $70/hr, 1-Year W2 Consulting Contract, Remote

Del Oro Consulting, a nationwide consulting firm with over 20 years of experience delivering strategic solutions to leading global technology companies, is seeking a Copilot Engineer with hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and strong Python programming skills.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to innovative projects involving cutting-edge AI and automation while working as part of a team that values creative problem-solving and collaboration. In this role, you’ll design intelligent automation solutions that leverage visual development platforms combined with advanced AI technologies. You’ll help optimize business processes by building scalable, AI-powered applications that boost productivity and efficiency.

Note: The consultant will be expected to work PST business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and automate processes with Power Automate
  • Enhance workflows by incorporating AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Azure OpenAI
  • Build sophisticated automations and integrate external systems using Python and REST APIs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define needs and deliver practical, scalable low-code/no-code solutions
  • Contribute to AI-driven projects that utilize machine learning models and data processing pipelines
  • Ensure all solutions align with established security, compliance, and governance frameworks
  • Create clear documentation and provide training and ongoing support to end users
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, data engineering, and analytics, to ensure successful solution deployment

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
  • Experience with AI-driven tools, in particular Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI
  • 3- 4 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Power Platform
  • Skilled in Python programming
  • Experience with API integration, developing custom connectors, and utilizing Azure cloud services
  • Excellent analytical thinking and effective communication skills
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications preferred
  • Understanding of AI/ML tools preferred
  • Knowledge of cloud governance, security, and compliance preferred

Details of Position

  • Location: Remote
  • Contract Details: $60–$70/hour, 1-Year W2 Consulting Contract
