Job summary

Lassonde Pappas & Co., Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator for our Seabrook, NJ location. You will oversee supply chain operations, manage.MRP-based planning, and coordinate with vendors to ensure materials meet production schedules.

The role requires 1–3 years in a supply chain role, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong Excel/ERP skills. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary to maintain production flow.

Responsibilities

• Identify requirements based on MRP forecasting for packaging and ingredients; order from approved suppliers.
• Process and reconcile purchase orders; ensure deliveries meet MRP forecast.
• Maintain daily production schedule for three shifts; manage schedule exceptions.
• Coordinate with the corporate scheduler for forecast/material changes.
• Use QAD to verify POs for invoice processing; route invoices as needed.
• Receive POs for Department Managers; scan and email invoices to AP.
• Send weekly reports to a predetermined list; run daily material availability reports.
• Perform daily yard check; monitor inventory and materials on hand.
• Research supplier pricing for materials and specifications.
• Ensure food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; report issues.
• Maintain SQF standards; escalate issues with supervision as needed.
• Investigate negative on-hand inventory and correct discrepancies.
• Occasional weekends/overtime; data entry into Excel files.
• Perform other related duties as required.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Key areas of focus include developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is based out of our Seabrook, NJ location. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Key areas of focus include developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.

Pay Range for this position is: $22.01-$33.02 depending on experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job)

Responsibilities Include

• Identify requirements based on MRP forecasting for packaging and ingredient materials. Order packaging, ingredients, and variable materials from approved suppliers.
• Process and reconcile purchase orders and confirm that deliveries meet MRP forecast
• Process and maintain daily production schedule for three-shift operations. Includes the management of schedule exceptions to ensure materials are available for production
• Work with the corporate scheduler to make necessary schedule adjustments due to changes in the forecast or material availability as needed
• Use the QAD system to verify POs have been received for invoice processing. Redirect invoices to departments as needed to confirm the receipt of a PO.
• Receive POs for Department Managers as needed
• Scan and email invoices processed to corporate AP for payment
• Send out weekly reports to a predetermined list on a variety of responsibilities
• Run reports daily to ensure materials are on hand for production runs
• Do a daily yard check and send it out to a predetermined list
• Research prices with variable suppliers for materials to obtain prices and specifications
• Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position
• Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
• Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position
• Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work
• Investigate and correct negative on-hand inventory
• Work weekends/overtime on an as-needed basis
• Data Entry into Excel files
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned

Education And Experience

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 1-3 years experience in a supply chain role
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel superuser, preferred)
• Previous experience with ERP system
• Must be detailed oriented and can multi-task

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the food/beverage industry (a plus)
• Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment (a plus)
• Ability to direct, coach, and train others.
• Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

FREQUENT:

Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

OCCASIONAL:

Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

VISION:

Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast-paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

HEARING:

Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines, and exhaust fans.
