Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a Coordinator Step Down ICU RN to lead nursing care in a high-acuity unit and coordinate delivery of patient-centered services. You will partner with the management team to monitor care, support admission/discharge processes, coach staff, and help optimize outcomes.

A current RN license and ICU/step-down experience are required, with leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • ACLS within 90 days of start date.
  • BCLS within 7 days of start date.
  • One or more years of ICU or step down ICU experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Support improved outcomes and service with leadership input.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
  • (RN) Registered Nurse
  • Associate Degree
  • One or more years of ICU or step down ICU experience required
  • One or more years of demonstrated nursing leadership strongly preferred
