Job summary

Van Drunen Farms is recruiting for a Quality/Compliance position focused on laboratory testing and product quality. The role supports food safety standards and regulatory requirements in a growing manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate analytical testing, review results, and communicate dispositions across departments. The position emphasizes accuracy, accountability, and collaboration with quality, operations, and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year in quality, compliance, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in agriculture/food manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Positive Hold and Release program to ensure safety and quality.
  • Coordinate analytical testing of materials for chemical, physical, and microbiological properties.
  • Maintain testing schedules and track internal and external analyses.
  • Review test results against product specifications and quality requirements.
  • Communicate testing results and disposition decisions across departments.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding testing status and timelines.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and execute the Positive Hold and Release program to ensure ingredients and finished products meet established food safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate analytical testing of raw materials and finished products for chemical, physical, and microbiological properties.
  • Maintain testing schedules, monitor laboratory lead times, and track the progress of internal and external analyses.
  • Review and interpret analytical test results against product specifications and quality requirements.
  • Communicate testing results, product disposition decisions, and compliance-related information across departments.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding testing status, quality documentation, and analysis timelines.
What You’ll Bring
  • A minimum of one year of applicable quality, compliance, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience.
  • Experience within agriculture, food manufacturing, dietary supplements, quality assurance, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking, critical problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, with the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.
