Organization Summary

Project Sunshine’s mission is to bring the healing power of play to children with medical needs through trained and dedicated volunteers. Our programs include in‑person play (Here to Play), curated activity kit deliveries (Kits for Play), and live virtual play sessions (TelePlay). Over 18,000 trained volunteers deliver programs that provide opportunities for creative expression, socialization, intellectual stimulation, and sensory integration to more than 200,000 pediatric patients and families each year. Project Sunshine partners with 500 medical facilities across the U.S. and three international locations.

Position Summary

The Program Coordinator builds and maintains operational processes to facilitate Project Sunshine Kits for Play. Responsibilities include managing shipments of activity kit supplies to volunteers, creating UPS labels for completed activity kits to medical partners, and maintaining the Salesforce database. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a person who enjoys coordinating and executing complex processes and prefers largely independent work.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the Kits for Play program.
• Update and maintain orders in Salesforce.
• Send confirmation emails to volunteer recipients and medical facility partners.
• Coordinate shipping of completed materials to medical facility partners.
• Organize the “Sunshine Room” storage area, including moving and storing boxes.
• Troubleshoot with suppliers and other vendors as needed.
• Monitor and track Kits for Play.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical ability and technical computer skills.
• Experience with Salesforce database preferred.

• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work under pressure.
• Some lifting of boxes and packages is required.
