Our mission is to train professional dancers for careers in classical ballet. We provide the resources for a diverse pool of students to train at the highest level – with 15-25 a year going on to dance for New York City Ballet, our official but independent ballet company, and other major ballet companies worldwide. SAB has a far-reaching impact on the art form and enriches the lives of each student who comes through its doors, over 800 annually, ages 6 to 18. SAB has approximately 100 part- and full-time employees and an operating budget of $17 million. In the 2026-2027 school year, administrative employees are expected to work in person 4 days per week and may telecommute one day per work week.**Position Overview**SAB seeks a **Coordinator, Philanthropic Events and Partnerships** to support the operations of a dynamic department. The Philanthropic Events and Partnerships department raises over $2.2 million annually from three major fundraising events and an evolving corporate relations program. Philanthropic Events and Partnerships also assist in planning several board and staff events throughout the year. The Coordinator, Philanthropic Events and Partnerships will provide administrative support for the daily running of the department. This non-exempt position will report to the Director of Philanthropic Events and Partnerships.**Key Responsibilities****Events***Assist in planning and producing SAB's three annual fundraisers: The Nutcracker Family Benefit, SAB Ball, and Workshop Performance Benefit.** Manage ticket sales, RSVPs, guest lists, and seating plans in partnership with event leadership* Coordinate with designers, printers, and vendors on invitations, programs, signage, contracts, invoices, and logistics* Prepare timelines, staffing plans, and run-of-show materials; direct volunteers and staff on event day* Coordinate post-event reconciliation, donor follow-up, and reporting**Department Operations*** Serve as a primary point of contact for donors, sponsors, and staff on event-related inquiries* Maintain donor, prospect, and event records in Raiser's Edge* Build mailing lists and produce targeted communications to donors, prospects, committee members, and attendees* Track and reconcile event income and expenses to support budget management* Coordinate gift acknowledgments twice monthly* Support Development Committee and event leadership meetings, including briefing materials and reports**Corporate Partnerships*** Assist with identifying sponsor prospects and drafting proposals and outreach* Track and fulfill sponsor benefits, including recognition, tickets, hospitality, and other contractual deliverables## Qualifications and Benefits**Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree.* Advanced customer service skills plus strong administrative and organizational abilities, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom and the capacity to learn and utilize fundraising databases and communications software. Experience with MailChimp and Raiser’s Edge is a plus.* Must be detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines, and capable of prioritizing and managing multiple assignments in a busy environment.* Possess superior interpersonal skills and work successfully with colleagues, donors, volunteers, and staff.* Ability to be hands-on with all aspects of event preparations and logistics and able to lift 25 lbs.* Competency for representing the institution well to the general public and funders.* An interest in performing arts, dance, and/or education is preferred.* Evening and weekend hours required for donor events.**Benefits**SAB offers a superior benefit package, including full health benefits, four weeks of vacation (plus two holiday weeks in December), and generous retirement savings benefits.The School of American Ballet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
