Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Coordinator Pathology Point of Care to lead the development and oversight of an integrated Point of Care Testing (POCT) system across all sites. You will work with clinical staff, managers, vendors, and IT to standardize procedures, training, and data management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field, licensure as a CLT (MT/TN), and preferred ASCP certification.

Summary

Working independently, under the direction of the Pathology Point of Care Supervisor, the Point of Care Coordinator is responsible for development and oversight of an integrated system for all Point of Care Testing (POCT), including satellite locations, at Moffitt Cancer Center.Working with the appropriate clinical personnel, test-site managers, distributors, and vendors, the POCT Coordinator assist the POCT Supervisor to oversee the selection and implementation of standardized procedures, policies, methods, training, competency standards, and competency assessment tools associated with POCT. Working with the Information Technology and Billing Departments, the Laboratory Information System technical support departments, and the POCT device manufacturers, the POCT Coordinator will assist in the development and maintenance of an integrated information management system using standardized testing devices and data management systems for POCT. Works with test site managers to assure adequate documentation and compliance with CAP, Joint Commission, and CLIA ’88 regulations.

Training Required: Strong working knowledge of laboratory and Federal regulations as they apply to Point of Care Testing.Ability to learn and effectively navigate several mainframe hospital and lab computer programs integral to the job function.Demonstrates the ability to complete projects on time. Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking capabilities.Ability to manage tasks through completion.Experience working in a customer focused environment.

Salary Range

$63,377.60 - $96,699.20

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
