Job summary

Saint Louis University is seeking a Coordinator for Outreach to support the 1818 Advanced College Credit Program. Under general direction, the role assists the Director in major facets of operations and coordinates communications with students, parents, and partners.

This on-site role requires strong written and verbal communication, relationship management, and ability to develop and maintain program materials and websites, while coordinating events and outreach with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with one year of related experience in higher education or related environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to write for multiple audiences.
  • Experience maintaining databases and working with vendors or partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of college admission policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with collegiate academic program administration and-office workflows.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with Canva for materials design is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, designs, and writes copy for all broadcast communications for 1818, including emails, newsletters, materials, events, and updates.
  • Maintains the primary 1818 SLU website in collaboration with Marketing and Communications.
  • Liaises with internal and external constituents, including vendors and SLU offices and coordinators.
  • Interacts with partner high school instructors and administrators to disseminate timely program information.
  • Assists with event planning and execution, including invitations, RSVP management, and photography.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Coordinator, Outreach - SLU 1818 Advanced College Credit Program
Job Summary

Under general direction, assists the Director in major facets of operations of the 1818 Advanced College Credit Program. The position provides administrative support to the program and coordinates all communication and outreach to students, parents, and partners.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinates, designs, and writes copy for all broadcast communications for 1818, including emails, newsletters, promotional materials, events and programming updates, handbooks, websites, printed flyers, and more.
  • Maintains the primary 1818 SLU website in conjunction with SLU Marketing and Communications.
  • Liaises with internal and external constituents, including vendors for marketing and promotional materials; SLU Office of Marketing and Communication; SLU 1818 faculty liaisons and dual credit coordinators; and the SLU Admission Office.
  • Interacts with partner high school instructors and administrators in multiple domestic partner schools to develop and communicate timely program information.
  • Assists with event planning and execution, including invitation and RSVP management; award program planning; photography; and technology support.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Required Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to write and interpret instructions for multiple audiences
  • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills, including with diverse student populations, institutional personnel, and the public
  • Ability to create and maintain databases
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness in a fast‑paced environment
  • Knowledge of college admission policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of collegiate academic program administration

  • Ability to assess situations and exercise supervisor‑informed discretion and independent judgment
  • Intermediate or higher skill level in use of Microsoft Office 365 Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Intermediate or higher skill level in use of Google software (Word, Excel, sites, forms)
  • Familiarity with Canva
  • Intermediate or higher digital photography and video skills (creation, editing, embedding in websites and messages, etc.)
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Experience working with various CRMs such as Salesforce, SLATE, and platforms such as Lyris, Google sites, and more
  • Experience designing and implementing software‑based approval workflows
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with one (1) year of related experience working in a higher education or related educational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree with three (3) years of related experience working in a higher or related education environment.
