Western Kentucky University (WKU) is a student-centered, applied-research institution offering a transformative academic and social experience. The Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator supports recruitment, outreach, events, facilities, and day-to-day operations within the Arts Pod as it transitions to the School of Creative Arts and Design on July 1, 2027.

This role collaborates with students, prospective families, and faculty/staff to create welcoming experiences and showcase students’

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two years related administrative experience.
  • Experience coordinating outreach and events preferred.
  • Ability to work with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsabilités

  • Coordinate recruitment and outreach activities, prospective student communication, campus visits and tours, and recruitment events.
  • Provide support for concerts, productions, exhibitions, festivals, camps, clinics, and other Arts Pod/School events.
  • Assist with event communications, marketing, and promotion in coordination with College and Arts Pod/School staff.
  • Coordinate group travel and provide logistical support for Arts Pod/School program activities.
  • Assist with the hiring and onboarding of student workers and coordinate timekeeping and payroll processes.
  • Coordinate operational needs and serve as point of contact for facilities in Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center and Music Hall.
  • Cross-train and collaborate with staff to provide shared operational, recruitment, scheduling, and event support across the Arts Pod/School.
  • Coordinate master event calendars and ASTRA scheduling.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator plays an active role in supporting recruitment, outreach, events, facilities, and day-to-day operations within the Arts Pod. This position will work closely with current students, prospective students and families, as well as facultyand staff, to help create a welcoming experience, connect prospective students with opportunities in the arts, and support the programs and events that showcase the creative work of our students and faculty.

Beginning July 1, 2027, the Arts Podwill transition to the School of Creative Arts and Design. This position will continue to supportshared outreach and recruitment efforts and collaborate with faculty and staff across the School.

Duties

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, plus two years related administrative experience.
Additional Information:

Hourly Rate: $19.49/hr
