Summary
The Coordinator, Operations supports the fulfillment of CHF’s mission through the efficient, timely, and safe performance of Distribution Center-related responsibilities. The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the receipt and processing of incoming gifts-in-kind (GIK) product, inventory maintenance and control, and assist in preparing international shipments. The position also supports other areas of activity at the Distribution Center as assigned or needed. Carries out responsibilities in a joyful manner as honors the Lord and others, whether interacting with CHF employees or non-CHF people.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process incoming GIK product, donated and purchased, according to CHF procedures.
- Maintain real-time, quarterly, and year-end product/supply inventory.
- Participate in assigning location of product within the Distribution Center.
- Support Operations Director with international loads as needed including:
- Communicate with Ministry Development and Mercy Network partners (throughout process).
- Obtain Phytosanitary inspection certificate and other product certifications, when required.
- Generate necessary shipment documents.
- Ensure all shipment documents are timely and properly filed (Salesforce attachments, Finance).
- Help to develop and keep current SOPs for international logistics specific to geography and ministry partners.
- Participate in volunteer workday events as needed.
- Participate in the creation of event and RDA outgoing sheets as needed.
- Maintain CHF’s strict adherence to cleanliness and sanitation practices within the whole facility.
- Practice and adhere to CHF safety regulations and IIPP and encourage others to do the same; immediately report to supervisor any work-related accidents, illness, injury, or property damage.
- Participate in all required meetings and events.
Equipment
- Warehouse equipment as trained and certified (where required), such as forklift, electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack, box cutter, tape gun, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, or other
- CHF vehicles (cars/trucks as licensed to operate)
- Standard office equipment: telephone, computer workstation, printer, copier, scanner, calculator
Work Environment
- Primarily: warehouse and office; Occasionally: churches, public venues
Physical Demands
- Constantly exchange spoken information accurately in English with Distribution Center staff, other employees, volunteers, and Mercy Network church employees and/or volunteers, whether verbally (in person or by telephone), by computer/email, or in writing; another language (such as Spanish) may be used where it is the common language and does not need to be understood by those who do not speak that language
- Frequently walk, reach, stretch, bend, pick up, carry, and set down packages/boxes of varying weights up to 50 lbs. (50 lbs. and over requires two people or lifting/moving equipment such as pallet truck or forklift); for a special event, this could be up to 14 hours in a day
- Frequently use the computer such as for electronic time clock punch in/out (at least 4 times daily), inventory management, read and send email (check email at 3 times daily), prepare and distribute reports
- Frequently move about the warehouse and into the office for meetings (includes sitting for meetings)
- Occasionally drive CHF vehicles for ministry business purposes
Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- Confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; active member of a gospel-centered, Christian local church; demonstrates ongoing growth in Christian maturity
- Associate degree or equivalent knowledge and work experience; prior warehouse experience preferred
- Proficient in Office/Internet and CRM applications such as Salesforce
- Consistent work attendance record; trustworthy and productive team player
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, yet complete responsibilities and projects within assigned timeframes, notifying supervisor in a timely manner of any issues or delays encountered
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including powered industrial truck equipment (PIT) such as pallet trucks and forklifts; prior PIT certification is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate CHF vehicles (cars and trucks); Class C driver license and CHF-approved driving record required
- Demonstrated ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis throughout the work shift
- Strong attention to detail and administrative skills, able to successfully create, document and monitor workflow procedures
- English communication skills (verbal and written) are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

- Additional 2-3 years of related work or ministry experience
- Previous experience performing duties at a Coordinator level
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- May supervise employee(s)
