Function/PositionSummary
The Coordinator of the U-46 Educational Foundation works collaboratively with the Foundation Board to implementtheorganization'scomprehensivestrategicplantostrengthentheFoundationandmeetitsvision to "Expand opportunities for all U-46 students in a changing world." This shall be accomplished through the development of fundraising activities, donor relations, alumni relations, and marketing strategies that drive financial support benefiting School District U-46's students and employees.
The Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating along-term fundraising strategy, ensuring that the Foundation meets annual benchmarks. In addition, the Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and efficient distribution of the funds based on annual Board funding priorities. The Coordinator serves as the primary administrator of the Foundation and is responsible for all related office functions.
This position will report to the Director of Communications & Community Relations and work in indirect support of the U-46 Educational Foundation.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
BoardSupportand Engagement
- ManagetheflowofinformationtoallBoardmembers.
- ProvideregularreportstotheFoundationBoardregardingallstrategicplanmetrics,including fundraising efforts.
- DevelopBoardmeetingagendasandsupportingdocumentsincollaborationwiththeBoardOfficers.
- AssistthePolicy/BoardDevelopmentCommitteewithrecruitment,onboarding,andBoardmember development.
- WorkwiththeFinanceCommitteetooverseetheFoundation'sfinancialreporting andrecord keeping/tracking.
- SupporttheworkofotherFoundationcommitteesasneeded.
PlanningandAdministration
- Oversee the Foundation's daily operations, including meeting management, fundraising activities, financialoversight,programdevelopmentandexecution(e.g.,scholarships,grants,etc.),anddonor relations.
- Developandmaintainofficeprocessesandactivitiestoassureahigh-qualityoperationand service level.
- TrackorganizationalmetricstomeasureoutcomesoftheStrategicPlanandcalibrateasneeded.
- Ensurecomplianceinthetimelyfilingofallreports/documentsaccordingtodistrict/state/federallaws, regulations, and procedures.
- WorkcloselywithBoard-approvedthird-partyvendors/consultants(financial/legal)asneededand manage relevant contractual obligations.
- Lead,facilitate,andcollaboratewithU-46schooladministratorsandtheFoundationBoardtoplanand implement fundraising campaigns and events.
- Cultivatecommunityandalumnirelationshipsinordertogeneraterevenuefromindividualorganization, foundation, corporate and other donors.
- Developandexecuteanannualplanforongoingdonorcommunications,includingimpactreporting.
CommunityRelations
- ArticulatetheFoundation'svisionandmissionthroughawidevarietyoftacticsincludingongoing in- person interactions, marketing materials, and multimedia communications.
- EnsureproperuseoftheFoundationbrandamongtheBoard,U-46employees,vendors,andpartners.
- RegularlyattendDistrict,school,parent,localgovernment andcommunitymeetingsandeventsto share information and provide formal presentations about the Foundation.
- Lead,facilitate,andcollaboratewithU-46highschooladministratorsandemployeestodevelopan alumni relations program, including the development of an alumni database.
General
- Maintaintheconfidentialityof student/familyandemployeeinformationinthedepartmentandinthe community.

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor'sDegreeor5-7yearsofsimilarworkexperiencerequired.
Experience/Knowledge
- Prioradministrativeandfoundationexperiencepreferred.
- Knowledgeofnon-profitandpublic-schoolfunding.
- Provenexperienceinfundraisingandmarketing,including donormanagementandsupportingCRM systems.
- Knowledgeoffinancialmanagementaccountingsoftware.
- Excellentinterpersonal,facilitation,andcollaborationskills.
- Impeccablefollowupandfollowthrough.
- Exceptionalwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
- Provenadvancedskillsinmultiplemethodsofcommunicatingtovariousaudiences(includingwebsite management/maintenance).
- Experienceusingbasicgraphicdesigntools(Canva,AdobeCreativeSuite).
- ProficiencyusingMicrosoftOfficeproductsandGoogleSuite.
- Strong projectplanning,organizationalandtime-managementskillswithanabilitytoworkinahigh- volume environment.
- Abilitytoworkindependentlywithlimitedsupervisionaswellasinateamsetting.
- KnowledgeofU-46andcommunityleaders,partners,andgroupspreferred
- BilingualSpanish/Englishwritten&verbalaplus.
Salary/Benefits
Termsof Employment
- Thisisa12-monthpositionwithsalaryandbenefitsasestablishedbytheBoardofEducation.
- The salary range for this position is $85,602.00- $128,410.00 .Our typical practice is to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($106,999.00).
- Flexibilityinregularschedulenecessary;evening/weekendworkrequired.
- Frequentoffsitework;mustbewillingtotravel,primarilywithinU-46districtboundaries.
