Job summary

Littleton Public Schools seeks an Admin Professional/Coordinator of Special Education to lead and coordinate instruction for students with disabilities. You will supervise staff, deliver professional development, and collaborate with families to improve outcomes.

Candidate must hold Colorado principal/admin license, be licensed in Special Education, and have a Master’s degree. Minimum five years teaching (special ed preferred) and three years in administration are required.

  • Must be licensed Special Education Teacher or Special Service Provider.

Position Purpose

Plan, support, or coordinate the instruction for students with disabilities in elementary level schools.

Essential Duties
  • Provide leadership for district instructional programs and/or other support services so as to enhance the effectiveness of schools and the performance of students with disabilities.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff to promote their professional growth, as well as to improve district programs and services, and/or to enhance students with disabilities performance.
  • Facilitate professional development by planning and delivering professional development to educators, building leaders and direct level staff.
  • Demonstrate the personal and professional growth necessary for continuous improvement of district programs and services to schools and students with disabilities.
  • Collaborate with other staff, parents and community members to establish and achieve district goals and priorities.
Education/Certification
  • Hold or be qualified to hold a Colorado principal or administrative license
  • Must be licensed Special Education Teacher or Special Service Provider
  • Master's degree required.
Experience
  • Minimum of five years' successful teaching experience (special education preferred) and three years administrative experience.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills in committee work, special projects, councils, and other educational activities.
  • Must have the ability to evaluate staff.

Salary Range: minimum $98,507 to midpoint $120,443
Work Calendar: 253 Days
