Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Public Safety, Education Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 10 years of law enforcement experience, with at least 4 years working directly with schools as an SRO or in a similar educational setting
  • Completion of the NASRO Basic SRO course required; Advanced or Supervisor-level NASRO training preferred
Job Responsibilities

The Coordinator of Safety and Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety and security programs to ensure a safe learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors across District 303. This role serves as the primary liaison between the district and local law enforcement, fire protection agencies, and emergency management services. The ideal candidate will have a strong law enforcement background, preferably with experience as an SRO, and possess excellent communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, families, and the community.
