REPORTS TO: Pastor and Director of Religious Education
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time/Non-exempt (hourly)
In collaboration with the Director of Religious Education (DRE), the CRE is responsible for a portion of the religious education program of the parish. This includes theological, catechetical, and administrative aspects of the particular area of responsibility, which may include elementary catechesis, confirmation preparation, youth ministry, etc. The CRE reports to the pastor and parish council(s) and committees as required by the pastor.
An undergraduate or graduate degree in theology or religious education/teaching.
Certification as a Master Catechist through the Advanced Catechetical Ministries (ACM) Program or willingness to obtain.
