Rose State College in Midwest City, OK, invites applications for Coordinator of Payroll in Administrative Services. The role oversees payroll processing for all employees, including regular, part-time and work-study staff, and supervises related benefit deductions.
You will prepare W-2s, respond to unemployment claims, and ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. A Bachelor's in Accounting and payroll experience are required; a background in higher education is preferred.
Supervise, compute and process the payroll functions for all College employees. Supervise and assist with the processing of all College payrolls to include regular, part-time and workstudy employees. Supervise and assist with all payroll benefit and deduction claims and cancellation of claims sent to the Office of State Finance. Process all garnishments and levies of wages. Create and distribute all W-2 forms. Supervise and assist with verification of employment forms and previous employment forms. Supervise and assist with the calculations of leave of absences, compensatory time, overtime pay, and unexcused absences for all regular employees. Maintain accurate updated records on all employees to include salaries, benefits, contract changes, etc. Reply to the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission on unemployment compensation claims. Responsible for completing various monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Work directly with the Office of Management and Enterprise on any payroll problems. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Assist employees with completing necessary forms to include employee information, loyalty oath, W-4, insurance and annuity forms, etc. Compose letters and memos concerning changes in the law regarding employee benefits. Perform other duties as assigned.
