Faith Formation and Evangelization
- Serves as an integral member of the Parish Staff and collaborates with the pastor and other staff to accomplish the mission and vision of the parish.
- Leads the faith formation team while collaborating with priests, parish administrators, lay leadership, and staff.
- Responsible for the development, oversight, and implementation of ongoing parish evangelization and faith formation efforts.
- Organizes and maintains the designated parish Office of Evangelization and Faith Formation while adhering to budgetary concerns.
- Implements guidelines, policies, and visions of the Pastor.
Ministries and Programs
- Shares with others a love for the Catholic Church through evangelization, formation, and outreach initiatives. Studies the parish catechetical needs to design programs and select curriculum materials and texts in accordance with Archdiocesan guidelines to provide for catechesis, sacrament preparation, and spiritual growth of adults and families. Be knowledgeable of Archdiocesan policies regarding sacrament preparation and catechesis, as well as current catechetical trends.
- Develops goals and objectives for catechetical and evangelization programs within the framework of parish and Archdiocesan policies, with the direction of the Pastor.
- Responsible for the oversight, coordination, and preparation of parish-based faith formation offerings.
- Leads recruitment, support, affirmation, and training of lay catechists and volunteers for faith formation programs.
General Staff Responsibilities
- Attend and actively participate in staff meetings.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the total parish goals and objectives.
- Work cooperatively with staff.
