The Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education at Georgetown University Hospital on-campus role supports the Department of Mission and Pastoral Care in the Jesuit tradition. You will supervise CPE students and collaborate with hospital leaders, IDEAA, and ACPE supervisors.
Ideal candidates hold a Master’s level theological degree (MDiv preferred), ACPE Educator certification, at least 3 years of chaplaincy training, and ecclesiastical endorsement.

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s ministry is to provide physical and spiritual comfort to patients in the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, care of the whole person. Clinical Pastoral Education is interfaith professional education for ministry. It brings theological students and ministers of all faiths (pastors, priests, rabbi, imams and others) into supervised pastoral care encounters with persons in need.
The Coordinator of Clinical Pastoral Education is an integral member of the ministry team for the Department of Mission and Pastoral Care for MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. The CPE Coordinator interacts with the CPE students; MGUH clinical and administrative leadership; Mission and Pastoral Care Professional Advisory Committee; Georgetown University Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity and Affiant (IDEAA); local, regional, and national ACPE certified supervisors. The Coordinator works with and reports to (and works in collaboration with) the director of the department.

The projectedsalary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
