Schedule: Full Time - Monday-Friday, Day Shift, 7:30AM-4PM
Summary:
The Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Department manages care of high-risk patients pre-conceptually, and in the first, second, and third trimesters of pregnancy. We provide specialty care in partnership with the primary Obstetrician on a referral basis.
The Coordinator’s role includes front desk and clinical responsibilities. Front desk tasks include answering phones, registration, scheduling appointments, insurance verification, obtaining authorizations, collecting co-payments, and managing documents in the Electronic Medical Records system. Excellent communication skills are essential.
The clinical responsibilities require certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent, with experience in outpatient settings. Tasks include rooming patients, monitoring vital signs, medication reconciliation, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures.
