Description

Coordinator II - HSEThe Safety Coordinator II - HSE is responsible for evaluating field and/or Region safety conditions through auditing, and monitoring, and advising company management on findings, as well as communicating the company's safety programs. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating, communicating, and maintaining TEAMs safety programs, and ensuring that both company and client safety rules and governmental safety requirements are enforced within a defined geographical region, including District and worksite locations.


Essential Job Functions



Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern


Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values


Provides direction to jobsite supervisors in safe work practices on the jobsite


Resolves safety concerns in the field in a timely manner


Communicates with management and clients providing updates on safety activities


Performs routine safety inspections on job site and documents all safety inspection activities


Investigates, reports, and follows-up on all work-related injuries and accidents


Initiates all needed recordkeeping on accidents and near misses, relays information to corporate, and maintains files on each case


Ensures Districts are in compliance with safety and technical training requirements


Ensures Districts are maintaining an adequate supply of approved safety PPE, such as ear plugs, glasses, gloves, harnesses, etc.


Reviews and assists Districts with maintaining all required OHSA logs and summaries for injuries


Conducts Smith System driver training as needed and maintains all associated records


Works with Managers and Supervisors to ensure Field Evaluations and Job Safety Analysis Audits are performed properly and maintains associated files


Conducts random vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are in acceptable operating condition and contain the required safety equipment


Conducts and/or assists, as needed, with monthly safety meetings for the Districts


Ensures that all vehicle and PPE Inspections are completed


Assists Districts with completing customer issued PQF forms


Performs scheduled audits and provides comprehensive reports for regional and district leadership to ensure compliance with applicable TISI, OSHA, DOT, RSPA, FMCSA and EPA Safety Policies and Standards.


Conducts hazard assessments and identifies corrective actions to mitigate risks.


Collaborates with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures.


Coordinates safety drills and exercises to ensure readiness for emergencies.


Facilitates root cause analysis for incidents and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.


Keeps abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in safety management.


Present incidents, trends and statistics to TEAM and Client leadership.


Be willing to obtain continued education and recognized certification within HSE-related disciplines.


Job Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent required


Associates degree in a Health safety or environmental related discipline preferred


Two (2) to four (4) years prior experience in safety leadership role in an industrial setting


Holds basic recognized HSE certification(s), including but not limited to CSSS, COSS, CHST, and/or OHST.


Work Conditions



Position is responsible to coordinate health, safety and environmental efforts within a defined region and is based out of a District location


Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere


Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel


Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels


Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection


May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes


Physical and Mental Requirements



Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds


Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties


Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively


Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permit the employee to perform routine office duties


Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations to perform office duties and travel when necessary to off-site locations


Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
