Job summary

The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator within the Staff Development and Outreach division. Qualifications

Summary of Job Duties

The Staff Development Coordinator oversees part-time employee onboarding and department-wide training and develops and implements personal and professional development opportunities for UREC employees. The position supports staff leadership, recognition, recruitment, and engagement initiatives, including employee awards, graduate staff programs, professional staff development, and the Student Employee Advisory Board. Additional responsibilities include managing employee records and inquiries, supporting hiring compliance and recruitment efforts, and assisting with staff development planning, budgeting, assessment, reporting, and departmental initiatives.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • Experience with student development programming

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field
  • At least one year of student development programming experience
  • Experience in the campus recreation and/or student affairs setting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of student development theory
  • Knowledge of staff development program design and management
  • Knowledge of part-time staff onboarding and training
  • Knowledge of career competency training
  • Ability to instruct and facilitate education programs
  • Ability to create and monitor annual budget
  • Ability to evaluate and assess programs
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments, deadlines, and tasks
Additional Information

Salary Information:

$43,923 (Commensurate with education and experience)
