Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Drug Shortage Coordinator within the Pharmacy division to assess, plan, and communicate shortages across MUHA system. The role collaborates with pharmacy buyers and clinical pharmacists to mitigate shortages and prevent waste, aligning with MUSC Health operations.
The position requires a PharmD or PharmD-equivalent, SC pharmacist licensure, and BLS certification, with residency preferred.
In partnership with the pharmacy buyer teams and pharmacy leaders this pharmacist is responsible for the assessment, preparation and contingency planning for all drug shortages. The Drug Shortage Coordinator will serve as the point person for all drug shortage communication, coordinating efforts with the various local leaders as applicable for the MUHA system.

Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy and two years expereince as a registered phramacist. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred. Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
