Job Summary
Coordinator of Diagnostic Imaging Systems

is an on-site, front-end user expert responsible for overseeing the daily operations of imaging applications. In collaboration with the Market Radiology Director, Information Systems, and the Specialist-in-Chief of Radiology, this role supports radiologists, technologists, and customers who use these applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to end-users to ensure they understand and maximize the functionality of imaging applications. The coordinator must possess teaching skills to effectively support both physicians and technical staff.
  • Front-End Application Management: Manage and provide support for front-end imaging applications.
  • Customer Service: Ensure an elevated level of customer satisfaction by resolving user issues and addressing concerns. This requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and listening skills, as well as diplomacy and tact. The role also involves using conflict resolution skills when dealing with policy issues.
  • Technical Liaison: Coordinate hospital information systems (HIS) to maintain accurate and timely data flow.

Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies. As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations.

  1. A minimum of five years of radiology experience with advanced knowledge of general anatomy and radiology procedures.

4. Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training by end of orientation period.

The ideal candidate should also have project management skills to process objectives, identify stakeholders, plan steps, and coordinate technical needs to achieve goals.
