  • Document, track, and maintain all credentialing, enrollment, re-credentialing, and hospital privileging activities within the designated credentialing management platform.
  • Monitor provider and facility licenses, certifications, and other required credentials to ensure they remain current, active, accurate, and compliant with applicable regional requirements.
  • Coordinate enrollment activities with contracted insurance payers and monitor provider participation status to help maintain appropriate access to reimbursement.
  • Prepare and submit hospital privileges applications for physicians, including completing required forms and gathering supporting documentation when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate credentialing records and supporting documentation, ensuring information is complete, organized, and readily available for verification and reporting.
  • Monitor processing timelines, follow up on outstanding requirements, and ensure credentialing and enrollment deadlines are consistently met.
  • Meet regularly with the Credentialing Supervisor and team members to communicate progress, report outstanding items, and provide updates on enrollment and credentialing activities.

  • Use spreadsheets, credentialing databases, and standard office applications to maintain records, track progress, and support operational reporting.
  • Identify documentation gaps, expired credentials, and potential compliance issues, escalating complex or unusual matters to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Deliver responsive customer service and collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve routine credentialing and enrollment questions.
  • Perform additional administrative and coordination duties as assigned by management.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including maintaining spreadsheets, updating records, and preparing professional documents.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to coordinating with providers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments, track deadlines, and follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recognize discrepancies, follow policies, seek guidance when needed, and elevate complex issues appropriately.
  • A willingness to learn new systems, adapt to evolving workflows, and participate in required training and process improvement initiatives.
  • A college degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, including overtime and weekends, when operational requirements necessitate.
