Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Coordinator, Competitive Intelligence to support the global business development initiatives of a top-ranked Am Law 100 firm. This hybrid position (3 days in-office) is based in New York City and plays a vital role in delivering strategic market insights that drive client growth and competitive positioning.

As part of the Business Development team, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with attorneys, researchers, and marketing professionals to gather and analyze competitive intelligence, identify new business opportunities, and support client pitches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, and individuals to support strategic growth efforts
  • Translate research findings into clear, concise, and actionable reports and partner briefings
  • Monitor market trends to identify new client targets and competitive developments
  • Prepare profiles and strategic backgrounders on potential clients and key decision-makers
  • Use tools such as Lexis, Capital IQ, Lex Machina, MergerMarket, and others to deliver high-quality insights
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, research, and attorney teams to align with firm-wide priorities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic visualization)

Salary & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $63,000 – $79,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus
