Responsibilities
- Carry a caseload of individual clients, providing mental health counseling and crisis intervention.
- Develop and maintain treatment plans, assess progress, and ensure continuity of care for all clients.
- Meet with students to evaluate situations, assess needs, and create action plans that integrate counseling and care coordination.
- Document counseling sessions and care coordination outcomes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Assist with CARE reports and the daily operations of the Wolves Essentials Pantry and micro‑pantries, ensuring equitable access to food, clothing, hygiene products, etc. while promoting utilization of these services.
- Co‑develop and maintain a network of on‑campus support, community‑based agencies, programs, and workshops that support student success.
- Assist in developing and implementing ongoing programming, workshops, groups, educational outreaches related to emotional wellness and resource availability, and psychoeducation directed toward students and adult education services.
- Participate in responding to immediate student crises by traveling to campus, providing immediate assessment, and enacting crisis management protocols.
- Conduct assessment and prepare monthly/semester/annual reports on case management activities, including trends, data analysis, and program evaluations.
- Assist in consultation and training faculty and staff to increase awareness on managing student distress and mental health advocacy.
- Identify and participate in on‑going professional development, maintain compliance with licensure requirements, and complete mandated training identified by the college.
- Perform related duties as assigned, in compliance with college policy and procedure.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work or counseling.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Illinois.
- Two (2) years of experience working with students in conducting case management, individual counseling, and crisis intervention in a support team approach environment.
- Knowledge of related sexual violence, domestic violence, mental health, and disability laws.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students, with particular focus on historically underserved and marginalized groups.
- Must interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Proficient in Word, Outlook, and Excel, with ability to learn specific software such as Maxient, Navigate, Titanium, and Ellucian Colleague.
- Must establish and maintain cooperative and effective relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence and emotional intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at the community college or university counseling center.
- Experience working with severe psychopathology.
- Knowledge of social service agencies and Medicaid eligibility and enrollment.
- Experience providing counseling/case management services via remote methods, such as video or phone.
- Student‑centered focus with passion for student life and associated best practices in higher education.
- Mandates own professional liability/malpractice insurance.
- English and Spanish verbal and written proficiency.
- Multicultural competence.
Physical Demands

- Must travel and work between campus locations.
