Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking an experienced RN leader for the Infectious Disease department with a days shift (7:30am–4:00pm). The role oversees the nursing plan of care, directs patient care through leadership of staff, and coordinates resources across the care team.

Requires Michigan RN license or CV tech certification, plus 2+ years of related unit experience and leadership. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, unit specialty certification, and a full-time

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in Michigan or a certified cardiovascular technologist.
• Minimum of 2 years related unit experience (Cardiovascular, Cath Lab).
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership performance.
• Demonstrated experience in team building skills, self-directed work teams.

Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the nursing plan of care for patients within the assigned specialty. Responsible to see that the nursing plan of care meets the physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patients served. Directs patient care through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel. Assists in the coordination of patient care through the appropriate utilization of all resources: staff, equipment, supplies, etc. As an expert in the assigned specialty, is a resource person to both medical center staff and physicians.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Required

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice nursing in Michigan or a certified cardiovascular technologist
• Possess minimum of 2 years related unit experience (Cardiovascular, Cath Lab)
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership performance
• Demonstrated experience in team building skills, self-directed work teams

Preferred

• Certified in Unit Specialty Organization.
