Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a hands-on Metrologist to lead CMM programming and setup at our Calabasas, CA site. The ideal candidate will bring strong metrology expertise, experience with quality systems, and a capability to train or lead teammates in receiving and inspection workflows.

Onsite position with a 12-month contract to hire, typical 8am-5pm schedule, five days a week. ASQ/MSA certifications or related advanced measurement experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on metrologist capable of programming and setting up a CMM.
• Strong background in metrology and measurement fundamentals.
• Experience with quality systems and receiving inspection.
• Experience with CMM and optical inspection.
• Training or leadership experience; able to guide teammates.
• Professional certifications (ASQ, MSA) desired.

Job description

Duration: 12 months from start date ( contract to hire)

Schedule Notes: M-F from 8am to 5pm

• Key focus: We are looking for a hands-on Metrologist who can program/setup a CMM, not a candidate whose experience is limited to running existing inspection programs.
• Strong metrology backgrounds
