CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ is seeking a part-time Communications Coordinator to strengthen the organization's visibility, public awareness, and community engagement.

Working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Development, the Communications Coordinator will create and manage compelling content across CONTACT's website, social media, publications, media outreach, and other communications channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least two years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media, or related field.
• Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to create or coordinate basic photography and video content; AV production experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage content across CONTACT's website, social media, publications, and media outreach.
• Ensure a consistent, professional, and engaging voice across channels.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Development.
• Coordinate with staff, volunteers, and leadership to meet deadlines.

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time position of approximately 20-25 hours per week
• Hybrid position with approximately one to two days per week at CONTACT's office in Pennington, New Jersey
• Annual salary: $43,000

Overview

CONTACT of Mercer County, NJ is seeking a part-time Communications Coordinator to strengthen the organization's visibility, public awareness, and community engagement.

Working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Development, the Communications Coordinator will create and manage compelling content across CONTACT's website, social media, publications, media outreach, and other communications channels. The position will help ensure that CONTACT presents a consistent, professional, and engaging voice to the community. CONTACT is a nonprofit suicide prevention and emotional support organization serving New Jersey through NJ 988, the CONTACT Listening Line, and CONTACT Reassurance for older adults.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, editing, verbal communication, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency with online technology, e.g., social media platforms, design programs, and commonly used communications and marketing software and applications.
• Experience in writing and editing company communications materials, as well as marketing and manuscript publishing.
• Ability to create or coordinate basic photography and video content; audio-visual production experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, and organizational leadership.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, discretion, and adaptability.
• Commitment to CONTACT's mission, values, and philosophy.
