Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years’ export, shipping, and customs experience or equivalent.
  • Contract administration experience required.
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR/ITAR/EAR preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR, HTS/US import regulations, and free-trade zones preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts (Purchase Orders) for compliance with policies and requirements.
  • Identify contract risks and communicate exceptions to management in a concise manner.
  • Explain risks and provide mitigation ideas; support negotiations with stakeholders.

  • Assist in analyzing and reporting weekly/monthly sales activities.
  • Pull and communicate customer quality document requirements to QA for review.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly accountable professional with practical knowledge of contract administration to join our Sales Contracts team. Responsible for the timelyreview of customer contracts (Purchase Orders & ensure compliance with company’s policies and requirements and negotiates exceptions as part of the review process as necessary. Work closely with the sales team to capture all pertinent information discussed with the customer, while complying with all internal and external procedures and regulations. Communicate within and outside of the organization to explain and interpret operational processes, practices and approaches. Provides proper contract acquisition in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities`

  • Review customers contracts (Purchase Order) (including government contracts and rated orders) to include: Performing reviews, identification of contract risks, communicating exceptions, providing contract acknowledgement and formal PO Acceptance.
  • Identify and assess contractual risks and communicate potential issues to management in a concise manner, following-up to secure timely responses.
  • Explain potential risks and offer mitigation ideas, provide input to negotiations, and partner with internal and external stakeholders in the process of offering compliant solutions to contracting requirements.
  • Conducts due diligence for customers, identifying risk factors within company’s process.
  • Maintain contractual records and documentation in designated company’s databases.
  • Represent Sales department for internal and external audits by FAA, ISO, AS9100 and Customers.
  • Ability to think critically, problem solve and work independently.
  • Dedication to meet customer deadlines.

  • Assist in analyzing, tracking and reporting weekly and monthly sales activities and communicating concerns to management as necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Knowledge of Japanese Language is a plus.

  • Must maintain confidentiality of company, customer, and contractual information.
  • Must work safely and professionally while adhering to all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally for meetings, training, or company events.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, and three plus years’ experience in export, shipping, and customs requirements, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.
  • Contract administration experience required.
  • Experience with FAR, DFAR, ITAR, EAR, preferred.
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR (Export Administration Regulations), Schedule B Codes, HTS Codes, US Import Regulations, US Customs and free-trade zones preferred.
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • This position involves working with technologies and information which are subject to U.S. export control regulations. Under these regulations, Toray Composites must review certain candidate information including citizenship, basis of United States work authorization and country of origin. This information will be used for export control screening purposes only.
