Coor- Central Schedule - Neurology - Clinical - Full Time - Remote

This role functions as an air traffic controller, coordinating and ensuring the availability of physicians, midlevel providers, scheduled equipment, and other clinical resources to meet patient demand in a timely manner.

Under general supervision, the coordinator is responsible for proactively understanding, managing, and reporting on the inpatient and outpatient availability of all scheduled clinical resources within a given specialty across all practice sites.

The role includes acting as a centralized resource to facilitate patient access and scheduling for referring physicians, patients, and others.

Responsibilities involve standardizing scheduling practices, protocols, and procedures across all sites, and maintaining consistent master schedules for all clinical resources.

The Central Schedule Coordinator will also track physician and provider clinic time, time off, and schedule adjustments, and prepare related reports.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a business office environment, including scheduling appointments and maintaining schedules.
  • Analytical skills for preparing physicians' schedules are preferred, along with familiarity with computer applications in PC and mainframe environments.
