Job summary

Ct-Hx in Ashland, VA is seeking a Cooling Tower Mechanic to join our field team. You will inspect and describe components of commercial HVAC systems, particularly cooling towers and heat exchangers, and perform tasks with hand and power tools.

The role requires OSHA safety awareness, ability to lead crews on site, maintain tools and materials, and a valid driver's license. We offer varied insurance options, 401K, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Confined Space and Fall Protection training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Describe components of commercial HVAC systems (cooling towers and heat exchangers).
• Use hand and power tools safely to complete tasks.
• Maintain safety, consumables, and vehicle responsibilities (Lockout/Tagout).
• Take direction and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Fit and install materials as needed.
• Assist with erection of scaffolding and ladder assembly.
• Maintain a clean worksite free of debris and trash.
• Roll out tools at start of day and store at end of day.
• Signal operators to align, move, and adjust machinery to specifications.
• Demonstrate site leadership and direct crews.
• Possess a valid driver license.

We're looking to add another Cooling Tower Mechanic to join our team in the Ashland, VA area!

Responsibilities:

• Be able to describe various components of commercial HVAC systems (Cooling towers and heat exchangers)
• Mechanical aptitude and use of hand and power tools required
• Must be able to keep track of job safety, consumables, and vehicle responsibilities (Knowledge of Lockout / Tagout)
• Be able to take direction and perform steps to task completion
• Fits and installs material as needed
• Assists with the erection of scaffolding and the assembly of ladders
• Maintain a clean worksite by making sure worksite is free of debris and trash
• Roll-out tools at the beginning of the workday and put away tools at the end of the workday
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform grade specifications
• Must be able to demonstrate job site leadership and directing crews
• Must have a valid driver license
