Description
General Purpose
Provide day-to-day team leadership to warehouse/cooler team members. Perform accurate and efficient movement of product and inventory throughout the warehouse and cooler environment to meet and exceed operational goals, internal standards, and customer needs. Demonstrate mastery of all job functions in the warehousing area/department.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate the daily schedule at the start of each shift with the warehouse/cooler team, detailing workload requirements and delegating tasks to successfully accomplish daily objectives.
- Proactively communicate warehouse issues, including deficiencies, to warehouse supervision; seek continuous improvement and process enhancement opportunities.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all warehouse, shipping, and receiving documents; accurately complete all necessary paperwork and electronic forms promptly.
- Consistently meet or exceed production demands by moving product accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organization, proper stock rotation, and cleanliness of all coolers and warehouse areas.
- Monitor KPIs and make daily operational adjustments as needed; ensure effective utilization of labor resources.
- Verify incoming and outgoing orders against vendor invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and related documentation.
- Assist in training and developing warehouse/cooler employees, including certifying employees on equipment as required.
- Perform daily, monthly, and year-end inventories; assist with audits as needed.
- Assess staffing levels and materials to ensure adequate supplies.
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse facilities, equipment, and supplies; recommend upgrades and replacements to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Follow all DFA GMPs and work in compliance with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards. Report any quality issues to QA personnel.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 4 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, production, or related fields, with demonstrated leadership qualities or team lead experience.
- Relevant certifications/licenses such as forklift, walk-behind jack, or other applicable equipment certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems.
- Ability to promote a team environment and contribute to overall warehouse/cooler team success.
- Effective interpersonal skills for positive interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and computations.
- Adaptability to changing situations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
